Stunning walk followed by fantastic food and beer. The service from Jonny and Sally was absolutely fantastic, and the menu has so many amazing choices that are all extremely tasty.

We were at the nearby Traquiar house for work purposes and wanted to go for lunch afterwards. We googled local places and we chose this as it said it was dog friendly and we had the dog with us. The food was great and at a reasonable price for the quality. The bar and restaurant area were clean and well kept and lots of local touches. Staff were friendly and helpful and they were indeed dog friendly but dogs only in the bar area. Would definitely come again and would consider staying over as out experience was so good.

Just returned from a 3 night stay. Warm comfortable clean room. Good food in the restaurant and great breakfast. Staff were excellent. Only minor problem was that parking is quite tight at the side of the hotel and could potentially be an issue at busier times especially if large vans are parked. Other than that good value and thoroughly recommended

My friend and I have just returned from a two night break at this fab hotel. We loved it! Lovely, cosy and clean rooms. Staff friendly and welcoming. Young lad Robbie serving breakfast was so polite and nothing too much trouble for him. We had dinner two nights in a row. Sunday roast was yummy as was the chicken, mushroom and tarragon pie the following night! The young lad serving dinner both nights was also really lovely. All the other staff made us so welcome. The young lass called Heather chatted to us as we were leaving asking if we had enjoyed ourselves and wishing us a safe journey. It was a great base to explore Peebles and get to know some local history. It was our first time here and we shall return soon!

Our first visit here for evening meal....there were four of us in the party. Wow....without doubt and we were all in full agreement this was some of the best food we had eaten anywhere ... regardless of price paid. The service was excellent.....great choice of menu ...even for one of us who was vegan and the food was hot ...wonderfully cooked and well presented. We'll be back for seconds that's for sure !!. Five stars fully justified.

I had the pleasure of spending 2 days at the hotel, and it was an amazing experience. The hotel is very beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was perfectly equipped and very clean. We had dinner at the restaurant with my family, and we were all delighted with the food, every dish was delicious. We also had breakfast there, and it was excellent, with fresh and tasty options. The hotel and restaurant staff were outstanding: everyone was very kind, attentive, and helpful, always willing to make our stay even better. We also had the chance to chat with the owner, a very gentle and pleasant man, who made us feel truly welcome. We will definitely return in the future. Thank you for everything — I highly recommend this hotel.
